West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) offers a wide range of cooking education opportunities that are designed to provide students with practical skills in the kitchen. From culinary arts courses to courses in food safety, nutrition, and even industry-related certifications, WKCTC has something for everyone.

In the Culinary Arts program, students can learn basic and advanced cooking techniques, explore international cuisine, plan menus, and understand nutrition principles. The college also has a Commercial Baking program that focuses on baking principles, production control, sales and marketing, and management.

WKCTC provides students with the opportunity to take a ServSafe certification course. This program is designed to teach food handlers how to safely prepare and serve foods, prevent foodborne illnesses, and manage a safe and sanitary work environment. The college is also one of the few institutions in the state to offer a Farm to Table course, which teaches students about growing food from seed to plate.

WKCTC also offers a variety of short-term classes dedicated to honing culinary skills such as knife skills, meal planning, food presentation, and basic cooking methods. These classes focus on foundational elements that are needed to succeed in the culinary arts.
