Virginia Western Community College (VWCC) is committed to providing its students with high-quality cooking education. Designated as an institution of higher learning, VWCC offers a comprehensive culinary training curriculum for aspiring food professionals. Students can choose from Bachelor's and Associate degree programs in Culinary Arts, Food Science and Nutrition, and Hospitality and Restaurant Management. The college also offers non-degree courses, allowing students to further hone their skills and gain valuable experience.

The Culinary Arts program at VWCC focuses on the traditional aspects of cooking, including food preparation, recipe development, sanitation, and plating. Students may also learn the fundamentals of hospitality management and restaurant operations. In addition to theory-based concepts, the program includes hands-on, lab-based experiences.
