Butler County Community College (BC3) offers a comprehensive education in cooking and culinary arts. With an experienced faculty and modern facilities, BC3 provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in the food industry. The college offers a wide variety of courses to meet individual needs, from basic cooking techniques to advanced creative cuisine.

Students can receive certification in baking and pastry arts, restaurant management and catering, and holistic nutrition. In addition to these core classes, students have the option to receive specialized training in wine tasting, artisan breads and charcuterie, or vegetarian and vegan cooking. By taking the appropriate classes, students can become certified in the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and NACE Professional Kitchen Certification Program, as well as earn credits toward a certificate or degree.

At BC3, students have access to state-of-the-art kitchens, teaching restaurants and specialized culinary labs. Instructors demonstrate proper techniques and provide hands-on instruction, as well as lectures and demonstrations. The teaching staff is composed of Certified Executive Chefs, Certified Culinarians, Certified Pastry Chefs, Certified Specialists and Certified Associates.

The college also offers internships and student job opportunities, including those for culinary internships and placements at local restaurants. Students also get the chance to participate in the ACF-accredited Butler County Chef Competitions and special events held throughout the year.
