Pittsburgh Technical College (PTC) is offering cooking education to the people of Pittsburgh and beyond. PTC offers an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts program, which is designed to help students develop the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in the culinary industry.

The Culinary Arts program at PTC focuses on developing a solid foundation of culinary techniques, menu planning and execution, food safety, nutrition and more. The program prepares students for entry-level positions in the hospitality and restaurant industry such as cooks, sous chefs, pastry chefs, nutritionists, and more.

The courses offered in the program include Culinary Basics, Culinary Sciences, Food Safety, Sanitation and Hygiene, Nutrition, Food Production and Purchasing, and American Regional Cuisine. PTC also has a Restaurant Lab where students can hone their cooking skills in a hands-on learning environment.
