Pennsylvania Highlands Community College (PHCC) offers a variety of courses designed to educate and help students develop their cooking skills. PHCC offers Certificate, Credit and Non-Credit programs that focus on baking and pastry, culinary arts, hospitality management, restaurant management, and food service operations. Students can learn the basics of cooking through theory-based course curriculums and hands-on instruction in state-of-the-art kitchens.

The Baking and Pastry Certificate Program provides education in baking, cake decorating, confections, artisan breads, and entremets (desserts). This program includes extensive hands-on learning by using ingredient measurements and equipment operation. Culinary Arts Certificate Program consists of classes focused on the fundamentals of cooking, sauces, stocks, soups, garnishes, and food preparation.
