Through intensive study, hands-on involvement, and real-life scenarios that mimic a professional kitchen, MCC prepares students for the challenges of the food industry.

MCC offers both an Associate of Science degree program and a Certificate of Achievement program in culinary arts. The Associate of Science degree program allows students to dive into the fundamentals of the culinary arts with courses such as Foodservice Sanitation and Safety, Principles of Nutrition, and Fundamentals of Baking and Pastry Arts. Students who complete the program have the knowledge and skills necessary to embark on a successful career as a chef, cook, baker, or caterer.

The Certificate of Achievement program provides expertise in various aspects of the culinary arts. Course topics include Global Cuisines, Introduction to Technology in the Foodservice Industry, and Quantitative Baking and Pastry Skills. Additional topics such as beverage management, menu and catering development, and professional kitchen operations are also addressed. This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the culinary industry, including positions as line cooks, sous chefs, and restaurant managers.

MCC provides students the opportunity to use their passion for the culinary arts to excel professionally. The college helps students to build strong foundations in the culinary arts, and gain the know-how to enter the competitive food industry. Additionally, MCC assists students in developing the leadership, problem-solving, and communications skills necessary to succeed in any career.
