Iowa State University (ISU) offers one of the finest and extensive cooking education programs in the nation. From culinary management to culinary arts, ISU’s program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to be successful in the fast-paced and ever-changing culinary world. The curriculum is designed to give students an understanding of the fundamentals of cooking, nutrition, and food safety, while also teaching them the practical aspects of working in a professional kitchen.

The ISU culinary program is perfect for those who are passionate about food and cooking. We offer a four-year bachelor’s degree program in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management, as well as a two-year associate’s degree program in Culinary Arts and Food Service Technology. Our state-of-the-art facilities include 1,400 square feet of teaching space equipped with modern equipment and professional tools.

We provide hands-on instruction from experienced faculty who have decades of experience in the field of cooking and hospitality. Our courses cover a variety of topics such as food science, product development, menu planning and development, food purchasing, cost control, food safety and sanitation. Our unique curriculum is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to excel in the food industry.
