Cooking education at Alcorn State University (MS) is an enriching experience that helps students develop life-long culinary and nutrition skills. At Alcorn, there are a variety of courses available in nutrition and cooking education. Students can select from majors such as Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, and Nutrition and Food Science. All programs provide students with hands-on experience in food preparation, nutrition and menu planning. Through their studies, they learn fundamental techniques such as knife skills, baking, sautéing, and more.
