The University of Puerto Rico-Carolina offers a range of cooking education programs to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to become accomplished chefs. From the beginning culinary fundamentals to advanced concepts in gastronomy, the university's renowned faculty provides a comprehensive education in all aspects of cooking.

The foundational elements for learning to cook include an understanding of food safety, nutrition, production and cost controls, culinary techniques and methods, menu planning, and international cuisines. Students will develop a solid foundation of cooking knowledge through hands-on practice in our state-of-the-art kitchen labs. Culinary classes are taught in English, Spanish and French.
