The Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez (PUCPRM) is committed to providing an excellent education and supporting students’ success in the culinary arts. Its culinary education programs are designed to train, develop and produce graduates that have the skills, knowledge and experience needed to excel in the culinary industry.

The university offers several degrees and certification programs related to the culinary arts. Undergraduate students can choose from a Bachelor of Science in Culinary & Tourism Management, a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology, or a Bachelor of Science in Food Service Administration. PUCPRM also offers a Masters of Science in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. All of these programs combine theory-based learning and real-world training in kitchen and restaurant settings. Students have access to a variety of methods and facility amenities, including a baking and pastry kitchen, two teaching kitchens, two fine dining restaurants, and an alfresco restaurant.

Puerto Rico's stunning natural scenery and rich culture make it a great venue for learning about food, culture, and hospitality. The university offers internships and field trips to local restaurants and businesses to give students a real-world look at how the food industry operates.
