Onondaga Community College (OCC) offers a variety of cooking education programs for aspiring chefs and food connoisseurs. Located in Syracuse, New York, OCC's cooking education program provides students with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue a successful culinary career. Through hands-on training, curriculum development, internship opportunities, and state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, OCC provides its students with the best possible culinary education.

OCC's Culinary Arts Program provides a comprehensive educational pathway designed to develop competence in various culinary disciplines. Students can choose from various specializations including bakery production, nutrition and food safety, international cuisine, and more. Through a combination of coursework, demonstration classes, and externships, students gain a strong foundation in the art, science, and techniques of professional cooking. OCC also offers a Certified Professional Cook (CPC) program that provides students with advanced culinary knowledge and certification for employment in the foodservice industry.

In addition to the culinary programming, OCC also offers non-credit cooking classes for the home cook. These classes offer small group instruction in the areas of baking, breakfast, foreign cuisine, and slow cooking, among others. OCC's cooking classes are designed to prepare participants with the skills and techniques they need to become a proficient and confident cook in their own home kitchens.
