Alvin Community College (ACC) provides quality education in the culinary arts field through its Regional Culinary Academy. The academy provides students with a hands-on learning environment which focuses on the fundamentals of food safety, nutrition, kitchen management and global flavors. Students enrolled in the academy learn how to create diverse menus, explore innovative recipes and cover all aspects of the culinary business.

The academy offers Associate of Applied Science degrees in Baking and Pastry Arts, Cooking and Food Management, and Restaurant and Hotel Management. Students also have the option of enrolling in ACC’s Career and Technical Education certificates which are focused on professional development and industry certifications.

The academy offers courses such as Fundamentals of Baking and Pastry, Sanitation and Food Safety, Introduction to Catering and Nutrition, Nutraceuticals and Superfoods, and Menu Planning and Development. Through these programs, students develop the skills and knowledge need to succeed in the culinary field.
